Bhubaneswar, Aug. 27 -- A proposed nuclear power project in Odisha's Nabarangpur reportedly triggered strong opposition from local residents, tribal communities and environmental activists. Hundreds of people gathered in Nabarangpur town on Tuesday to protest against the proposed plant at Pujariguda in Tentulikhunti block.

According to a report by The New Indian Express, people from all blocks of the district, including women, joined the protest march through Nabarangpur town. The protesters carried banners and raised slogans against the proposed project. They expressed concerns over possible displacement, environmental damage and long-term health risks.
