Bhubaneswar, Dec. 28 -- A severe cold wave tightened its grip across Odisha, with temperature plunging sharply in several regions and dense fog compounding the discomfort for residents.
Meteorological dept indicated that there is little likelihood of any immediate relief, with cold conditions expected to persist at least until the New Year.
Minimum temperature fell below 10 degrees Celsius in more than 10 cities across the state. Several locations in Kandhamal, Koraput, Rourkela, Jharsuguda and Nabarangpur districts have recorded particularly low readings, making outdoor movement difficult for residents.
