India, Sept. 16 -- Students in Ratanpur village under Sadar block of Keonjhar district in Odisha are facing difficulties reaching school due to the poor condition of the road connecting the village to the school. The road turns muddy and slippery during rain, making daily travel difficult for students and villagers.

The village has reportedly been without a proper pucca road since 1963. The same road is used by schoolchildren, villagers and patients, despite its poor condition. During the rainy season, the road becomes slippery and difficult to cross. Students often have to walk through the mud while going to and returning from school.
