Bhubaneswar, May 12 -- India has taken a major step towards modernising its highway infrastructure with the launch of the Multi-Lane Free Flow (MLFF) tolling system, a barrier-less and contactless mechanism aimed at transforming travel on national highways. Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari recently said the new technology-driven tolling framework will ensure seamless movement of vehicles, reduce pollution, lower logistics costs and significantly improve operational efficiency across the country.
