Bhubaneswar, April 13 -- In a major step towards improving power infrastructure in the city, TP Central Odisha Distribution Limited (TPCODL) commissioned a new primary substation at Nageswar Tangi under Phase-IV of the Odisha Distribution System Strengthening Project (ODSSP) on Monday.

Built at an estimated cost of Rs 19 crore, the substation is expected to address long-standing power issues in Old Town and surrounding areas.

Inaugurating the substation, Bhubaneswar MP Aparajita Sarangi termed the project a significant boost for Old town Bhubaneswar's development.TPCODL CEO Arvind Singh reiterated the company's commitment to strengthening power infrastructure and delivering reliable electricity services across central Odisha.
