There is no flood situation in Odisha as of now, and water levels in the Subarnarekha river have receded, informed the Chief Engineer of the Water Resources Department on Friday.

He further stated that no basin currently has excess water, and no flood warning has been issued anywhere.

As part of the routine Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), six gates of the Hirakud Dam will be opened. The full water storage capacity of the Hirakud reservoir is 630 feet, while the current water level stands at 605 feet, he added.
