Nepal floods: Odisha football players, coach stranded; all six confirmed safe
Bhubaneswar, Aug. 27 -- A group of six football players from Odisha and their coach are reportedly stranded in Nepal amid flash floods. Fortunately, the team has since been confirmed safe and is currently staying at a hotel in Pokhara.
The players had travelled to Nepal to take part in a football match. Their phones were unreachable after reports of flash floods emerged from several parts of the country.
Coach Halim later got in touch with the Odisha government and confirmed that all six players were safe. The team had reached Pokhara on Thursday morning and was in constant contact with their families at the time of reporting.
