Bhubaneswar, July 17 -- The National Testing Agency (NTA) declared the results of the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET-UG) 2026 on Thursday.

Aryan Gupta from Punjab and Panshul Bansal from Haryana secured the top rank jointly after scoring 715 marks each in the medical entrance examination.

According to the NTA, a total of 11.21 lakh candidates successfully qualified the NEET (UG) examination this year.

Among the qualified candidates, 58 per cent were female students.

The NEET (UG) 2026 examination, conducted for admission to undergraduate medical courses across the country, was originally held on May 3.

However, the examination later witnessed nationwide controversy following allegations of a question paper leak.
