Bhubaneswar, March 31 -- The legal trouble surrounding Durga Prasad Mohanty, husband of Narla BJD MLA Manorama Mohanty, deepened with a fresh development. He approached the Orissa High Court seeking anticipatory bail in connection with an alleged death threat case involving a Tehsildar.

Fearing arrest, Mohanty moved the High Court for anticipatory bail even as police continue efforts to trace him. He was accused of abusing an on-duty government officer in obscene language and issuing threats to kill, prompting the registration of serious charges against him.
