Nandankanan Zoological Park in Bhubaneswar recorded the birth of 11 more yellow anacondas on July 4, strengthening its reptile population and marking another success in its ongoing conservation efforts.
These new hatchlings follow the earlier birth of seven baby anacondas on June 29, bringing the total number of yellow anacondas in the zoo to 25. Zoo officials have examined the mother anaconda and confirmed that she is in stable health.
The anacondas were born to a breeding pair originally brought in from the Madras Crocodile Bank Trust in Chennai in October 2019.
