Bhubaneswar, June 6 -- The Southwest Monsoon is likely to make its onset over Odisha within the next six to eight days, bringing hope of widespread rainfall across the state.

Meteorological experts have indicated that weather conditions are becoming increasingly favourable for the monsoon to advance into several parts of Odisha in the coming week.

According to forecasts, atmospheric and oceanic conditions are supporting the further progress of the Southwest Monsoon towards eastern India. The anticipated arrival of the monsoon is expected to provide relief from the prevailing heat and humidity while benefiting the agricultural sector ahead of the kharif cultivation season.
