Bhubaneswar, April 26 -- The body of the fisherman who went missing after drowning in the Mahanadi near Paradip Choumuhani on Sunday was recovered, officials said.
The deceased has been identified as Mahendra Sethi of Paradipgarh village. He went missing while pulling a fishing net in the river near Paradip Choumuhani.
Fire service personnel from Kujang, who conducted search operations since the incident, recovered the body after an extensive search.
According to information, Mahendra had entered the river along with another individual to pull a fishing net when he suddenly slipped into deep water and went missing.
The incident had occurred while they were fishing without a boat.
