Bhubaneswar, April 22 -- Seven days after his disappearance, the body of businessman Sudhir Patra was recovered in a decomposed manner from a dense forest near Rashi Pankhal under the jurisdiction of Sorada Police limits in Ganjam district early Wednesday morning. 

The 32-year-old who hailed from Karapali village in Berhampur was reported missing by his family on 15th April after playing a game of volleyball on the outskirts of Berhampur. He was on his way home, when he was allegedly kidnapped at gun-point.

His sudden disappearance prompted the Odisha Police to deploy seven teams across Berhampur and surrounding areas to locate him.
