Miscreants open fire at coal trader's residence in Sundargarh, investigation underway
Bhubaneswar, May 17 -- Unidentified miscreants allegedly opened fire at the residence of a coal trader in Odisha's Sundargarh town late on Saturday night. Police suspected a possible link to a dispute over coal transportation in MCL areas.
The incident took place on Mission Road under Sundargarh Town police limits. The house targeted in the firing belongs to Sanjay Nanda, owner of Maa Tarini Transport.
According to reports, the miscreants arrived at the residence in a car at around 2:30 am and allegedly questioned the security guard about Sanjay Nanda.
An argument reportedly broke out between the accused persons and the security guard, following which the miscreants allegedly opened fire and fled from the spot.
