Bhubaneswar, April 5 -- A jewellery shop owner was allegedly robbed at gunpoint by three miscreants in Odisha's Balasore district on Saturday night. Ornaments worth more than Rs 10 lakh were reportedly looted.

The incident occurred near the Amarda railway road under the Basta police station limits when the victim was returning home after closing his shop.

According to reports, jewellery shop owner Gagan Pradhan was intercepted by three miscreants who allegedly approached him from behind. The accused reportedly pointed a gun at his head and snatched a bag containing jewellery.

The victim also alleged that he was assaulted during the incident, with the attackers using an iron rod.
