Bhubaneswar, Sept. 12 -- Gold ornaments worth around Rs 1 crore was allegedly looted from a jewellery shop near the old bus stand in Jharsuguda city late on Friday night. The theft took place at a jewellery shop located on Mangsapuria, along the city's main road.

According to the reports, a gang of thieves entered the shop through the roof after taking a route from another roadside shop.

They allegedly used a cutter to break the adjoining wall and entered the first floor of the jewellery shop. The gang then made its way into the shop on the ground floor, from where the jewellery was reportedly taken.
