Bhubaneswar, Jan. 31 -- Panic gripped Bhubaneswar after a brutal sword attack rocked the state capital on Saturday, leaving the AIIMS Road soaked in blood.

The incident took place early in the morning when the victim was returning home after watching the Khandagiri Jatra. The injured youth has been identified as Chintu, a resident of the Patrapada area.

According to preliminary reports, the attack has been suspected to be the result of previous enmity.

Following the attack, local residents rushed him to AIIMS Bhubaneswar, where he is currently undergoing treatment. Chintu sustained deep injuries to multiple parts of his body and is reported to be in critical condition due to excessive blood loss.
