Bhubaneswar, July 12 -- A minor girl allegedly jumped into the Mahanadi River from the Chaurpur Bridge in Sambalpur on Saturday night. The incident subsequently triggered a massive search operation by the police and fire services.

According to reports, the girl jumped off the bridge late at night. After receiving information about the incident, personnel from the Town Police Station and the Fire Services rushed to the spot and launched an extensive search operation in the river. However, despite continued efforts, the girl remains untraced.
