Bhubaneswar, Dec. 12 -- A minor girl was allegedly raped in Bhubaneswar by the landlord of the house where her family was staying, according to a complaint filed at the Mahila Police station. The incident took place on Thursday. The survivor, who sustained serious injuries and trauma, has been admitted to SCB Medical College and Hospital, where she is undergoing treatment in critical condition.

Preliminary information indicates that the incident occurred when the girl's family members were not at home. Taking advantage of the situation, the accused landlord allegedly committed the crime inside the residence. Following the complaint, police launched an investigation and arrested the accused within a short time.
