Bhubaneswar, Sept. 10 -- A major accident took place on Canal Road under Laxmisagar police station limits in Bhubaneswar late Wednesday night, leaving one youth injured and another missing.

A car parked by the roadside was badly damaged in the accident; broken parts of a motorcycle were also found at the spot.

Local residents suspect that a car and a motorcycle were racing on Canal Road at around 2 am. During the incident, the car reportedly hit the motorcycle from behind. Following the impact, the motorcycle is said to have crashed into another car that was parked along the roadside.

"We do not know exactly what happened. When I reached the spot, I found that the front of the car was severely damaged," said a local resident.
