Bhubaneswar, March 30 -- Temperature continued to rise across western Odisha on Sunday, with Titlagarh recording the highest temperature in the state at 40.8 degrees Celsius, indicating an early intensification of heat conditions.
According to temperature readings, several districts in western Odisha witnessed elevated mercury levels. Bhawanipatna recorded 39.8 degrees Celsius, while Jharsuguda and Subarnapur registered 39.4 degrees Celsius each.
Sambalpur reported 38.7 degrees Celsius, followed closely by Talcher at 38.6 degrees Celsius. Bolangir recorded 38.8 degrees Celsius, and Rourkela registered 38.2 degrees Celsius.
