Bhubaneswar, Feb. 24 -- A massive fire broke out at a supermarket near the Dhauli Lingipur area in Bhubaneswar on Monday night, triggering panic among local residents and causing extensive damage to property worth lakhs of rupees.
According to preliminary reports, the blaze erupted suddenly at around 10 PM from the third floor of the multi-storey building. Within minutes, the flames spread rapidly, fuelled by highly combustible materials stored inside the premises. Thick plumes of smoke billowed into the night sky, alerting nearby residents, who immediately informed the fire services.
