Bhubaneswar, May 24 -- A major fire accident was reported at a scrap warehouse located in Balakati on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar on Sunday, triggering panic in the area.

As per reports, the incident took place beneath the Bhargavi bridge, where a scrap storage facility suddenly caught fire under unclear circumstances.

Soon after the blaze erupted, thick smoke engulfed the surroundings, drawing the attention of local residents. On receiving information, fire service personnel rushed to the spot and immediately launched efforts to bring the flames under control. Firefighters are currently engaged in operations to contain and extinguish the fire and prevent it from spreading further.
