Bhubaneswar, June 9 -- Security forces recovered a large cache of Maoist arms, ammunition, and explosives during a joint combing operation in Malkangiri district. The operation was carried out on Monday night in the forest areas of Kerimitia and Katuapadar under Malkangiri police limits.

The raid was conducted jointly by personnel of the Border Security Force (BSF) and District Voluntary Force (DVF) as part of ongoing anti-Maoist operations in the region. Security forces carried out intensive combing in forest patches suspected to be used as Maoist hideouts.

During the operation, multiple concealed dump sites were detected and searched, leading to the recovery of arms and explosive materials.
