Bhubaneswar, June 15 -- A shocking crime has been reported from Balasore district, where a man was allegedly abducted by his friend, murdered, and later buried in the backyard of a house at his in-laws' place. The incident has triggered widespread shock in the Nilagiri area of the district on Monday.

The case came to light after Savitri Behera, wife of the deceased Birendra Behera, lodged a missing and kidnapping complaint at Berhampur police station on the 31st May. Acting on the complaint, police began an investigation that eventually led to a disturbing breakthrough.
