Bhubaneswar, June 7 -- A tragic road accident claimed the lives of a man and his daughter after they were hit by a speeding truck near Uttareswar bus stop in Odisha's Soro area under Balasore district on Sunday. The duo was killed on the spot after the truck reportedly collided with their motorcycle.

According to preliminary information, the victims were residents of Rahania village under Bhandaripokhari block in Bhadrak district. They were travelling back home from Balasore when the tragic accident took place.

The impact of the collision was so severe that both the father and daughter succumbed to their injuries at the scene before any medical assistance could reach them.
