Bhubaneswar, Sept. 25 -- Continuous rainfall has affected several parts of Malkangiri. Multiple areas have been inundated, and rainwater has entered homes in low-lying locations. Water is also flowing over bridges at Poteru, Kankarkunda, M.V.-90 and M.V.-96, affecting movement in the affected areas.

With the situation worsening in several locations, the district administration has reportedly started shifting people from low-lying areas to safer places.

Arrangements have been made at shelter centres for the evacuated people, including accommodation, food and drinking water.
