Cricketer Yash Dayal has received a major relief as the Allahabad High Court has stayed his arrest in connection with an FIR accusing him of sexual exploitation. The court barred any coercive action against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) player until the next hearing.
The order was passed by a division bench comprising Justices Siddhartha Varma and Anil Kumar, in response to Dayal's plea challenging the FIR.
The FIR, registered on July 6 at Indirapuram police station in Ghaziabad district, invokes Section 69 of the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita, which pertains to sexual intercourse obtained through deceitful means.
