Bhubaneswar, June 7 -- A major recruitment scam has come to light at the MCL-run Pabitra Mohan Pradhan Government Hospital (PMPGH) in Talcher, where hundreds of staff nurses are suspected of securing jobs using fake nursing certificates.

The alleged irregularity surfaced during the verification of educational certificates submitted by nurses working at the hospital. The list was sent to the Seva School of Nursing in Angul for authentication. During scrutiny, authorities reportedly found that nearly 60 out of 90 individuals whose names appeared in the records had never studied at the institution.
