Major milestone for Odisha's industrial corridor as critical rail stretch nears completion
Bhubaneswar, April 6 -- The strategically vital Talcher-Bimalagarh new rail line project has reached a significant turning point with the completion of the 14.2 km Parabil-Khamar section.
According to the Times of India, overcoming long-standing hurdles in land acquisition, the Indian Railways has now secured the General Manager's sanction to open this specific stretch for goods traffic, marking a major boost for regional mineral logistics.
With this latest addition, the total commissioned length of the ambitious 150 km project has reached nearly 34 km. The operational corridor now spans the Talcher, Sunakhani, Samal, Parabil, and Khamar sections, creating a more robust framework for the state's industrial heartland.
