Bhubaneswar, June 20 -- A major tragedy unfolded in Maharashtra's Parbhani district on Saturday when the roof of an under-construction sabha mandap at the Yashwadi Maruti Temple collapsed, leaving at least six devotees dead and several others injured.

The incident occurred during a busy period at the temple when a large number of devotees had gathered for prayers and religious activities. According to preliminary reports, the roof of the under-construction hall situated in front of the temple suddenly gave way, trapping dozens of people beneath the debris.
