Bhubaneswar, Sept. 20 -- The mortal remains of seven Odias who died in a tragic accident in Madhya Pradesh are being brought to Odisha and are expected to reach the state today.

The bodies are being transported in special ambulances from Nalkheda to Bhubaneswar.

Following the tragic incident, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi announced an ex-gratia of Rs 5 lakh each for the families of the seven deceased Odias. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also announced financial assistance of Rs 2 lakh each for the bereaved families.
