Odisha is likely to witness an increase in rainfall from the 12th of this month under the influence of a low-pressure area.
Many parts of the state have reportedly recorded light to moderate rainfall in the past 24 hours, with the highest of 90 mm reported from Aska in Ganjam district.
As per the observation by the India Meteorological Department, a cyclonic circulation has been currently formed, which may cause rough sea conditions along the Bangladesh coast, West Bengal, and adjoining areas. The Meteorological Department has advised fishermen not to venture into the sea.
