Bhubaneswar, Aug. 10 -- An image resembling Lord Jagannath reportedly appeared inside a water-filled drum at Gulapada in Binika town of Sonepur district on Sunday. This incident drew the attention of local residents.

As per reports, the drum was kept behind the house of Laxman Mahanty, who lives in Tikrapada of the village.

As per villagers, the face of Lord Jagannath appeared in the sediment at the bottom of the water kept inside the drum.

The sight led some residents to believe that Lord Jagannath himself appeared there. Since then, the villagers started offering prayers and performing rituals around the drum.
