Bhubaneswar, Oct. 28 -- An incident of assault on a lifeguard by a tourist couple was reported at Sector 4 of Puri beach on Tuesday. According to reports, the lifeguard was allegedly attacked with slippers after advising a woman tourist not to enter the sea due to the rough weather conditions triggered by Cyclone Montha.

Following warnings from the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the district administration imposed a restriction on sea bathing from Monday to Wednesday as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of tourists and locals.
