Bhubaneswar, June 27 -- All India Congress Committee (AICC) has appointed Lalji Desai as the new Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) in-charge for Odisha, replacing Ajay Kumar Lallu. The high-level political transition comes as part of a major organisational reshuffle executed by the Congress central leadership across multiple states to recalibrate state-level party strategies.

As per reports, the official appointment notification was formally issued by AICC General Secretary K. C. Venugopal, following the direct authorisation of Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge.
