Bhubaneswar, April 11 -- A major road accident occurred in the Sunki Ghat area of Koraput district, where an Odisha State Road Transport Corporation (OSRTC) Volvo bus plunged nearly 50 feet down a gorge. One passenger reportedly died in the accident.

According to initial reports, the incident took place around 3:00 AM. The passenger bus, which was traveling from Bhawanipatna to Visakhapatnam, was hit by a truck at the second bend of the Sunkhi Ghat road, causing it to lose control and fall off the road.
