Bhubaneswar, Aug. 17 -- Heavy rainfall brought life in Odisha's Keonjhar city to a standstill as several areas remained waterlogged since Saturday. The city is currently under a red warning, and continuous rain affected movement across several parts.

Rainwater flooded major roads which disrupted daily commuting for residents. The Mandua-Saras road also suffered significant damage as a major portion was reportedly washed away due to the incessant rainfall.

The damaged stretch made commuting difficult for residents as they are heavily dependent on the road for regular travel.

A local said, "This route is an important connectivity link. Several schools located in the area and are frequently used by hundreds of students."
