Bhubaneswar, May 28 -- Odisha witnessed relief from prevailing heatwave conditions under the impact of Kalbaisakhi thunderstorms. Several parts of the state received rainfall accompanied by strong winds and lightning activity.

Cloudy weather conditions prevailed in Bhubaneswar on Thursday morning, bringing a noticeable dip in temperature after days of intense heat.

On Wednesday evening, Kalbaisakhi-triggered thunderstorms and rainfall affected the twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack. The sky suddenly turned overcast during the evening hours, following which strong winds and rain lashed several localities.
