Bhubaneswar, May 24 -- In the wake of the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test, NEET-UG, 2026 paper leak controversy, the Central Government is examining the possibility of introducing a single, unified national entrance examination for both engineering and medical admissions.

The proposal stems from a broader roadmap for reforming National Testing Agency-led (NTA) examinations, originally recommended by a high-level committee under former ISRO chief Dr K Radhakrishnan following the NEET-UG 2024 irregularities.
