A jaundice outbreak has gripped Gobindpur village under Badamba block in Odisha's Cuttack district. With several children infected and admitted to the hospital, medical teams have begun treatment efforts, while faulty drinking water pipelines are suspected to be the root cause of the contamination, sources said on Thursday.
According to sources, Gobindpur village of Badamba block in Cuttack district is witnessing an alarming spread of jaundice. The outbreak came to light after one individual tested positive, prompting health authorities to collect samples from 33 people in the village.
