Bhubaneswar, Sept. 10 -- The tent of Jatra Kesari collapsed at Baghei in Tangi in Odisha's Khordha after heavy rain and strong winds lashed the area on Wednesday night.

The weather conditions were reportedly severe, with the intensity of the rain and wind causing the tent to give way. The structure completely collapsed and fell to the ground which disrupted the Jatra programme.

Jatra Kesari was scheduled to hold its first-night performance at Baghei in Tangi. However, the weather conditions affected the event on the very first night which led to a major setback for the Jatra.

The tent was unable to withstand the strong winds and heavy rainfall and eventually collapsed completely.
