Bhubaneswar, Aug. 8 -- Two interstate ganja smugglers were arrested Saturday by Odisha's Kandhamal Sadar police while allegedly transporting ganja in a car in Kawadiya attire. The accused have been identified as Arbaaz Khan and Karamat Ali, both from Uttar Pradesh. Police seized 60 kg of ganja and the car used to transport the contraband.

Acting on specific information, Sadar police intercepted the vehicle near Sankshikata and conducted a search. During the checking, the police recovered the ganja from inside the car and took both men into custody.

The accused were allegedly travelling in Kawadiya attire while carrying the contraband. Police are now trying to ascertain whether the disguise was being used deliberately to avoid suspicion ...
