Bhubaneswar, Aug. 4 -- Passengers planning to travel to or from Chennai Egmore over the next few weeks should brace for significant changes to train services. As part of the ongoing redevelopment work at Chennai Egmore Railway Station, Southern Railway announced temporary alterations to the operation of several Express and suburban train services, which will remain in effect between August 5 and August 20.

According to an official release by Southern Railway, nine Express trains will not originate from or terminate at Chennai Egmore during this period. Instead, these services will temporarily operate from Tambaram and Mambalam stations to facilitate the station redevelopment works.
