India, July 31 -- Train services on the Bondamunda-Rourkela section under the Chakradharpur Railway Division will remain affected from September 24 to October 3 due to non-interlocking (NI) work. The maintenance work will lead to the cancellation of 13 pairs of passenger and express trains, while the departure timing of the Tapaswini Express has also been revised.

The disruption is expected to inconvenience thousands of passengers travelling between Jharkhand, Odisha, Bihar and several parts of northern India. Railway authorities said the non-interlocking work is aimed at improving operational safety and ensuring smoother train movement on the busy Bondamunda-Rourkela route.
