Bhubaneswar, Aug. 13 -- Often times people travelling with Indian Railways find that they cannot get a berth to sit on or even relax for a while during long journeys despite having confirmed tickets. Such situations arise when unticketed crowds and waitlisted passengers rush into trains at certain stations.

These passengers may occupy the berths of people with confirmed tickets who are scheduled to board at a later station. When asked to vacate the berths, they may refuse, leaving passengers with confirmed reservations in distress.

To address such situations, Indian Railways have apps such as RailMadad, RailOne and some others in place. Despite this, passengers with confirmed tickets have continued to report such problems.
