Bhubaneswar, May 27 -- In a significant reform aimed at streamlining recruitment for technically qualified candidates, the Indian Air Force (IAF) has announced a new entry scheme for induction into its Technical Branch (Officer Cadre) through Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) scores.

The move is expected to provide engineering graduates with an alternative pathway into the Air Force by allowing eligible candidates with valid GATE scores to directly qualify for the next stage of the selection process without appearing for the preliminary written examination.
