Bhubaneswar, May 8 -- In a significant achievement for India's defence sector, the Tactical Advanced Range Augmentation (TARA) weapon system on Friday successfully completed its flight test off the coast off Odisha.

The test was a joint effort between DRDO and the Indian Air Force, demonstrating the capability of the system to deliver precision strikes. TARA, India's first indigenous glide weapon, is designed to convert unguided warheads into precision-guided munitions, significantly enhancing operational effectiveness.
