Bhubaneswar, Sept. 27 -- The Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project has achieved 62.16% overall physical progress, with more than 366 km of viaduct girders erected, according to information provided by the National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) under the Right to Information (RTI) Act.

According to a report by India Today, after completion, the 508-km high-speed rail corridor will connect Mumbai and Ahmedabad through Gujarat, Maharashtra and Dadra and Nagar Haveli. NHSRCL said all 1,389.49 hectares of land required for the project have been acquired. Of this, 959.04 hectares are in Gujarat and Dadra and Nagar Haveli, while 430.45 hectares are in Maharashtra.
