Bhubaneswar, March 1 -- India has offered assistance to foreign nationals stranded in the country after being forced to alter travel plans due to the escalating conflict in the Middle East and Gulf region. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) issued an advisory on Sunday, asking affected individuals to approach the nearest Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO) for help with visa extensions or to regularise their stay.

The advisory comes as airspace closures and widespread flight cancellations continue following US-Israel joint strikes on Iran, which triggered retaliatory attacks and expanded tensions across the region.
